The day and the hour.

Hi Friends. Sorry that I have been so quiet. Can you believe it.....8 days to Christmas. It is a true saying time and tide waits for no man. It was just the other day that there was all of the build up to the world cup and now we are looking back over the past months and quickly even the afterglow is fading into the past.

Funny how we always want something to look forward to and yet do not live in the moment. sometimes I even find myself pushing into my next birthday just 2 months after I have enjoyed the last one. If someone asks me how old I am I tend to say next birthday I will be.....whatever age I will be next birthday. How crazy is that. why dont I just say how old I am at the time rather than say what I will be in 10months time...pretty crazy.
Any how back to Christmas. Whether you are going to be at home or away on holiday I trust you will all be blessed in celebrating the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Let us not forget the reason for the season.
Isnt it awesome that God sent His only Son to earth to be born as a baby, to be our saviour, that Jesus was willing to die on the cross for us that we may have eternal life. That is mind blowing. I dont know about you, but I am overwhelmed by the plan and purposes of God for our lives. Jesus truelly is the best present of all.
Let us take hold of the day and the hour and harness the moment of celebration with family and friends this Christmas. We have so much to be grateful for. take time for thanksgiving and dont forget to bless someone less fortunate. Its the small things that make a big difference. Stop, pause and say thank you to God and also to those around you.   Happy Christmas friends. May you experience Gods love, grace and kindness this Christmas season and may the gift of eternal life be a reality. Those who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Invite Jesus into your life this Christmas it will be the best decision you have ever made.

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus I invite you into my life today and ask you to forgive me of my sins, may the blood of Jesus cleanse me and heal me of all my diseases, may the Holy Spirit fill me with truth and may I walk in your ways from this day forth in Jesus Name amen.

As you pray this prayer Jesus doesnt only forgive you of your sins He makes you a part of His family and He has written your name in the Book of Life and you will live with Him forever. How awesome is that.
He really is the Best present of all.  God Bless you.

love Rose.

Interruptions and delays.

I'm sitting ín the back garden reading a book on one of the revivalists and cross referencing somethings in my bible. Mmmm I can hear my husband Lionel in the kitchen and he has switched off the washing machine so that he can switch on the kettle for a cup of coffee which he will take back to the computer with him, where he is working away at another paper or article.
The coffee is made and I hear his footsteps going down the passage to take up his place in front of the computer monitor for him to continue what he loves best and that is to write, but alas the washing machine has been forgotten and stands in silence no longer being useful and completing its cycle to produce clean and freshly laundered bedding.
It makes me think so much about the cycle of life and how in a given season we feel can feel so useful and fulfilled and in charge of our lives and circumstances, our internal motor is running and passion is producing a God filled life when suddenly it feels like someone came past and switched the off the switch and you feel like God has forgotten you and all is lost...
I don't know if Lionel will remember that he switched off the washing machine or if he will come back into the kitchen for a second cup of coffee to switch the machine back on any time soon.
Praise God that we are not mechanical machines that are switched on and off randomly or at a whim of some higher power.
Our God is a relational Father who has inscribed our names on the palm of His hand. He is selfless and sent His only Son to die for our lives, past, present and future. He has come to give us life and that is life in abundance.
Don't fight the season you are in but surrender to God who will cause you to triumph in all things.
I once heard a prophetic preacher talk on the 2 ways God displays Himself, its either in hiddness or in manifestation.
Hideness is just that....its when God seems to be hiding away and you think He has forgotten you with your vision, passion and pursuit of Him and life. Its a time to draw closer to God, to seek Him until you find Him. As you are in hot pursuit of Him He turns the tables and starts pursuing you...once again you feel like the lights have gone on and life is in a near gear and the darkness of delayed dreams are pushed aside and you run with the Father. The 2nd display is Manifestion.... This is when God seems to be all over you nd arokund you everything you do or say has His blessing. Just know that these two seasons or displays of God work together. There is a time for everything under the sun. A time to laugh and a time to cry.
Keep the faith ì dear friends. Don't cut sort. Your faith, patienceand perseverance in God will produce the rewards of a life hidden in Him and you will be effective in all things.
Stand strong, hold onto faith and watch the salvation of your God.l

Personal Adjustment.

During 2009 I heard the Lord say in my spirit that 2010 was going to be a gateway year into the supernatural and the choices we make in this next season will determine where we are heading and positioned for the future.
2010 is nearly spent and just last month I was once again enquiring of the Lord why it seemed so dark and difficult with many of His children feeling discouraged and the Lord impressed on me that this is a short period of personal adjustment in the lives of His people to prepare us for His shift and outpouring.
So if you have felt like you have lost the plot you havent.  All that God has promised you is still to come. He will not forsake His children or delay what He has declared over your life and written about your life in the book of days.
Read Ps139 and Jer 29 and you will see that He has promised us that He has given us a hope and a future, a plan to bless us and not to harm us. Yes my friends if God be for us who can be against us. Nothing can ever seperate us from the love of God. Not life nor death, not powers or principalities, not what has happened in the past nor what is ahead in the future. God has stored up good things for those who love Him and are called by His name. We children of the living God so fear not. Press in and look full into His wonderful
face and the things of the earth will grow strangely dim in light of His glory and grace.
Yes, there are some adjustments but the future is glorious. 2011 will see us being placed perfectly into the call and purposes of God and we will experience His supernatural presence as the glory of the Lord covers the earth as the waters even cover the sea.
So do not faint and do not give up but instead gird up your loins and allow the Almighty and Powerful God who is the lover of your soul to connect you once again with your original mandate.
Remember the fervent and effectual prayers of the saints avail much.

We are called by God and He has full confidence in us so press on and access the doors of God for this new season.
Remember Ps 23 says Goodness and Mercy will follow you ALL the days of your life.
Untill next time.

Chit Chat.

Hello fellow friends. How you all doing? Sorry I have not written in a number of sunny days. That's because we havnt had too many sunny days lately. Apparently we are going to have a wet summer or so I have heard. Its apparently part of the weather cycle we are entering into. Now that's going to be interesting to see. The weather reports are never all that reliable anyhow so its going to be a surprise..... Yes, we will be surprised when they say 80 % rain and it hardly even drizzles and a surprise the days they say a nice clear summers day and there is a huge down pour. If you live in the far south you know not to take to much notice of what is said because you can leave home with a huge woollie jersey because of the black south easter and get into Cape Town centre and its stifling hot. Do you remember those days that there were gale force winds on the foreshore and on the front page of the newspaper in the evening there would be photos of woman hanging onto street posts to stop themselves been blown into the sea. We don't see that much anymore as more building have gone up and the wind tunnels of open spaces have become less and less,
Then there is the other side of the story after a long hot working day in town, you head to the station in central Cape Town and all the way home you build the dream of a early evening swim or walk on the beach when you get home. You can almost smell the sea and imagine the ideal setting and when you get there you are met, yes you guessed it, by gale force winds and the swim is now in the past. We used to say Fish Hoek was wrongly named and that it should have been called Windhoek.
Ok, enough chit chat or maybe I should say small talk about the weather. Enjoy tomorrow being the first day of the working week and whatever the weather, celebrate life. Life is far to short to be miserable. Till next time, keep smiling.

Oh He loves us.

Its Friday and the start of the weekend. I love the weekend. It just feels so right to put my feet up on the couch, flip through the tv channels and with the tv chattering in the background I can flip through a magazine with a huge pot of tea on a tray and a bar of chocolate lazily been eaten as I while away the time. Saturdays are also great as there is no morning rush, no time limits just time to slowly get going and often we pop in at tje organic market to drink coffee and walk around all the stalls buying bread and cheese, olives and dips and spreads. Our three married children with their spouses and our little grand daughters also do Saturday shopping at the market so we find space at one of the bigger tables to eat sliced biltong together, chat, catch up with each other and buy the little princesses a date slice or some other treat before heading home at about 2pm. Then Sunday arrives and we go to church. Now I'm excited. I like to be early and pray at the prayer meeting asking Father to come and bless us and everyone who comes through the door and invite Holy Spirit to surprise us with the gifts and that people will be healed and changed.
As the church family arrive I get more and more chatty and I can't great people quick enough to beable to hear all the news and what God is doing in all of our lives.
A community of church families is always so interesting as we have grown together over so many years and seen little babies become teenagers and newly weds become mature parents and singles find life partners. So beautiful.
Its thrilling when new people join and become friends and always sad when others move on but in it all there is a tapestry of colour of lives being knitted together that excites me and has added to who I am in and through God and my heart responds with "Oh He loves us, Oh He loves us so"
Where would we be without the love of God.
Lionel and I will be celebrating 25yrs of ministry in May 2011 and our hearts response to God is "Oh how you have Loved us"
The way ahead is filled with great expectation. God has brought us this far and we have laughed and cried, grown and matured through trials and victories and we are the wiser and happier for all of it. So let us continue to celebrate the goodness of the love of God and our love for one another in the great family of God.

Oh how He loves us.

Till next time.
Love Rose.

Exciting times of His presence.

I remember what it was like as a child when it was days away from your birthday or Christmas or a special event and there was such an excitement in your heart and you couldn't settle down to anything constructive as your heart anticipated what was up ahead. The night before the big day was the worst, because you wanted to go to bed as early as possible and sleep so that the time would go by quickly and you would wake up and finally the event would unfold and you would be all taken up with everything and enjoy the long awaited surprises. Only when you did go to bed early you just could not sleep at all. You would toss and turn, count sheep, go backward and forward to the toilet totally frustrated that it was a longer night than ever.
I must say that I am going through such an exciting time at the moment. God is doing so much in our lives and every day is an adventure with Him. This week in particular was just so full of His grace and every meeting we did was jam packed with His presence and the supernatural atmosphere of heaven. I sometimes feel I want to burst with excitement. This is that, which He has promised us and I want to continue to be a willing volunteer in this day of His power.
Trust in the Lord my friends and lean not on your own understanding, in ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your ways straight. What more can I say......He is so good and kind and gracious and He is moving us into our prophetic future. Let us listen to His voice and follow.
Love to you all.
Rose.

daily chatter and update of life.

Hello, everyone. How are you doing?
Time just tics on and we have about 10 and a half weeks to Christmas.
Now that is not even funny. There is shopping to do, cakes to bake, meals to decide on.
I'm sure most of us love the Christmas celebrations but not all the work involved.
I'm not anti all the work its more about the shopping, Oh my gosh! People, pushing
Trying to get bargains, looking for the traditional sponge cake for the making of the trifle and on and on.
So we can either get totally stressed out and even down right rude about this and even reactionary and decide "we don't do the commercial Christmas thing" or We can begin to celebrate being family and having fun.
Christmas has been reduced to a Festive Holiday and there are many people who label it as a pagan time. BUT we of
course know its about Christ. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son to die for us so that we may have life and life in abundance. All who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus shall be saved. So let's not forget the reason for the season. Its a remembrance that Jesus was born to a virgin and came to earth as our saviour. How kind is our God. He takes our broken lives and exchanges it for a life in His Son. So while you are standing in that line waiting to pay for the food and pressies, remember goodwill and grace and kindness. May Jesus be formed in us more and more.
Love Rose.

kindness of God.

Hi all you fabulous people out there. Welcome to my blogspot.
Sorry I have been so quiet.

I'm writting from Dublin. As you can see the title of this piece is the kindness of God.
Yes God is super kind.

I was the shy girl at school and never in my wildest dreams ever thought
I would do half the things I do in life. So what changed it? God of course.
He came as a breath if fresh air into my life, turned me right side up and set
me on a roadway of His grace and mercy.

Did I ever ask to be a pastors wife? No.
I wanted to get married have children, a little garden and then knit booties whule
Waiting for grandchildren. Hee hee... That's a good plan isnt it. Well of course it
is, But God!,.. His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are higher than
our ways. So after God turned my life the right way up He did bless me with a husband
and 3 wonderful children and a church full of fabulous people and sent us on cvarious
adventures into Africa and other lovely nations.

Oh how I love His stylem

I'm living my best life ever and praising Him daily for His Kindness.

Be good, be kind and live your life to full potential.

So cheers from beautiful Dublin. Will be back in Cape Town really soon now.
Rose.

Blogging.

I wonder where the term Blogging came from. Maybe its related to doodling. Remember how when we speak on our landline and there is a note pad by the phone and as the person is talking we start to doodle on the page and by the time the conversation is finished you have a whole interesting and involved picture in front of you.
Of course if we took it to some deep thinking analysis they would begin to tell us we have supressed dreams and frustrations etc..... Hee hee and all of that out of trying to be creative.

I'm so glad I'm born again and live by the Grace of God. I can remember paging through magazines and reading about writting analysis and how if you have small writting you are a certain kind of person and large writting means you are a generous person etc and I would stress because somewhow I start out writting large and end up small... Oh my Gosh the things that try and shape and dictate to our lives are just pathetic .... So glad I've been rescued from all of this stuff.

So its Tuesday and another oppertunity to bless God and those around us.

So get out there.

Remember you are a child of the King and attitude will determine your altitude. Be like that eagle and soar on the thermals of God. Faith is the substance of rhings hoped for the evidence of things unseen.

Oops I started out saying I wonder why its called a blog or blogging. Let me know what you think.

Love Rose.

Day off.

Hello out there. Sorry to be writing so late on this Monday night.
It was just one of those days that flew by.
As the saying goes, Time fly s when you are having fun.

Mondays are always good for me as its our day off and Lionel and I spend the day together. We take a drive, find a nice place out for coffee or lunch.
Sometimes it will be local, like Simonstown, Constantia, Camps Bay, the Waterfront or Canal Walk.
If we are really worn out we will drive further afield to Stellenbosch and just drive away from the hustle and bustle of life for a bit of space and fresh air.

Today we went to Camps Bay for brunch and it was great. I'm glad we sat indoors and admired the view from the window as the wind was really cold in spite of the sunshine.

What kind of Monday did you have, probably busy busy being the first day of the working week.

Whatever your day was like, I trust you found a space to just appreciate life and your family, friend and God.

You only live life once and this is not the dress rehearsal this is the real deal.

Love life. Let people know how much you appreciate them. Hug your friends and family. Contemplate, ponder, pray.
Life is so instant and moves so fast...Stop and just be.

God who has started a good work in you will complete it.
He loves you the way He created you so stop being so hard on yourself.
Worry will never change a situation, so see to it that you don't worry.
Cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.

So here's to the end of a great Monday.
Rest well.

Jesus today, tomorrow and forever.

Hi everyone. My word am I glad that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Even when we change He consistently loves us.
How comforting is that. The grace of God just blows me way.

God doesn't have mood swings. He isn't dependant on our opinions to keep Him positive. He Is God. Awesome. Comforting. True.

Thank you God for loving us so faithfully and consistently.

Good News.

Acts 4v12+13 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realised that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

The message of salvation is good news to all.
If we call upon the name of Jesus we will be saved.

Saved from our wicked ways
Saved from our self will
Saved from destruction
Saved from the works of the enemy
Saved from Hell itself.
Saved from religion

Our God is more than able to deliver us and fill us with such a hope for our future that the cares of the world become dim.

He fills us with love and grace to reach the lost, lay hands on the sick and see lives transformed.

It wasn't the disciples education that made the difference, it was the power of the Spirit of God that enabled them.

Let's walk in boldness the road set before us, lay hands on the sick, reach out to the lost with the good news of salvation.

Our Jesus came to this world to save us from sin, celebrate Him with rejoicing this Sunday, known as the Lords day.

Till next time,
Rose.

.

Revive us oh Lord.

There is such a cry in the heart of Gods people to be revived at this time.

Revival is an act of God in response to a people who have made themselves ready.

2 Chron 16v9 says, the eyes of the Lord go to and fro on the face of the earth to prove Himself strong on behalf of the faithful.

God will renew the faithful
Revive the church
Awaken a nation
Redeem the world

Let the meditation of our hearts and the words of our mouths be acceptable unto you Oh Lord.

Let us with whole hearts prepare for Him to come and make His habitation among us rather than a visitation.

In the book of Joel it says I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh....

Come Lord Jesus come.

Have a great day today as your heart calls out for more of Him and may you celebrate Jesus with fullness of Life.

Love
Rose.

TGIF

I'm sure you all know what TGIF stands for... Yes of course its Thank goodness its Friday.

Friday is always great for me and signals the start of weekend. I love the weekend as we get to see all of our family and drink coffee and tea and chat.
Saturday mornings we often go to the Organic Foodmarket and just browse and buy organic fruit and vegetables.

I trust you too find time to rest and breath and count to 10.
Contemplation is so of God.
The word of God says, Come unto Me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest, take my yoke upon you, for My yoke is easy and my burden is light.

I'm so grateful that the Father sent Jesus to deliver us from sin and the very nature of sin.
He has given us the mind of Christ, how awesome is that.
The plan of God is to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us a hope and a future and an expected end.
All our days are written in His books.
Shew! Nothing escapes Him.
We are so safe in the shadow of the Almighty.

Let the grace of our Loving heavenly Father wash over you this night. He is for you and not against you. This is not about mastering life but rather about surrendering to God and knowing that He loves you, He will never leave you nor forsake you and having begun a good work in you will complete it.

Father, thank you for sending Jesus,
Jesus, thank you for dying for our sin,
Holy Spirit thank you for being our comforter and guide.

Rest well this weekend. Be encouraged and strengthened. Your Father has called and gifted you with every good gift for the life you live.

Blessings
Rose.

All in a day.

The day is done and its nearly sleep time.

Do you have some of those days when you wake up and you just seem to run from one thing to another
and when you look again its the end of the day.

To stay focused and healthy we sometimes have to just stop and smell the roses, spot the seagulls or whatever they say.

The best of course is to be able to just do as little as possible and give God chance to speak to us so that we have dialogue and not monologue.

The word says in Jer 33v3 Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great things.
That's awesome.
So next time you are running furiously...STOP
Call unto God and then let Him show you the way forward.

In closing don't fret and be anxious, our God knows all about your concerns and He will look after those anxious thoughts if you ask Him for His peace.

Rest well.
Rose.

The end of Womens month and the arrival of Spring.

Wow, where does time go... Into the distant past I suppose.

Well last month was marked at the month of the woman.

I'm not sure if that's good or bad... For me that is. It was a odd month, I can only laugh and say goodbye August and hello September.

In case you didn't hear me speak in one of your groups in August I will fill you in on all the antics.

Lionel and I were invited to speak at a meeting in Table View one evening in the celebrated month of. "The Woman" so off we went in my BMW ( which some people say stands for Bring my Wallet) as we arrive at the address my car, which I call my baby, suddenly started to revolt and sputter and comes to a standstill. I just manage to get it onto the grass verge outside the venue as the man who invited us comes toward my door. I am trying to be "a lady" and look cool, calm and collected... My husband looking straight ahead of him says with a smile, that's a petrol issue.. You don't have petrol. I smile at the windscreen and between my teeth say, don't be ridiculous, I know my car, I have a quarter tank. Just then the kind gentleman gets to my door and says, shame you having some car trouble. Because I'm trying to look cool I brush the comment aside and we head off behind him to do the meeting.

At the end of the evening we of course have to go back to the car and yes, you guessed it, it wouldn't start.
We then arranged a lift home after securely locking the prized baby and my insistence that its and electronic fault.... Oh boy talk about being gracious... Not!

The next morning I'm on the phone to the well advertised Outsurance to arrange for my car to be towed. They were so willing to help but were insistent that we only had 45mins to get to the car or the tow truck driver would have got to the car and moved onto his next call if we were not at the car. My word, how do you explain to a lady at a call centre in Johannesburg that it will take awhile to dress, put on make up, GHD my hair grab my bag and get my patient husband to drive me from Fish Hoek to Table View all in 45mins.... Oh so much for dignity and womens month.... I did it, all dressed and polished and speeding along to the car now peacefully parked in the driveway of the venue where we were the night before.
So all said and done we get to the car, No tow truck. Oh heck maybe they came and went.. Quickly getting my BB out of my bag I phone the said towing company and no sweat, the towing guy is just around the corner and will be there in a second and he was. This is no small tow truck where they hook up the car, this is a huge flatbed.. Seriously!
With the paperwork completed and keys handed over we drive off in my husband car and he drops me at another appointment.
A couple of hours later he fetches me, what a patient man.
We are now heading home when my BB rings and it is my son who works at the mechanical workshop where my car has been delivered by the flat bed driver for the fitting of a 'new electronic part' and my sons opening words are, Mom you must put petrol in your car.... Oh boy.... Wrong words. I respond, don't be ridiculous, I know my car, don't joke with me I have a quarter tank of petrol. He takes his time to explain to me that the needle on my petrol gauge got stuck and I had actually done over 800km on that tank of petrol.

Man oh man. Or maybe woman oh woman... Can you believe it. Dignity flew out the window and I realise once again that I'm sot so smart and need to slow down and listen to people around me.

My husband and family had a good laugh and I thought, typical all this in honour of Womens Month.

So thank goodness August is gone and. September is here. Can anyone tell me why it rains every year in Cape Town on the 1st of September. Crazy.

Love you all. God is not finished with us yet and He makes all things beautiful in His time.

day of visitation.

Good day all you wonderful people. Our God is so awesome.

He is faithful and true. Though there are wars and rumours of wars He is
showing Himself strong in the earth.

The other day when praying for a friend I went into a time of vision
and saw the Father striding with purpose in the heavenlies, His robes and
hair flying around as He went forth with such vigour. He was uncovering things
overturning what looked liked pieces of cardboard and
He was scooping up dust. He said, I am collecting the dust that the enemy
has kicked up against my children. I am uncovering lies and things that
have been hidden.

How awesome is that. He is going about on our behalf so that when we are
weak He is strong. Jesus is our advocate and He is before the Father day
and night on our behalf.

Sometimes we need to ask Jesus to represent our cause before the Father.

So let us not miss His visitation.

It is the day of His visitation, on His children.

His government will be established in the earth. Take heart and rejoice.

He who has called you is faithful.

Love Rose.

brand new day.

Yesterday has gone and its behind us.

Today is a brand new day.
A day to love God and our families and friends with extravagant love,

Never put off telling people how much you love and value them
for tomorrow doesn't belong to us yet.

We had such a wonderful day yesterday with our family and walked on the
Beach together. Infact it was a special weekend as our little gran daughter
Had her birthday party on Saturday.

This morning my very dear friends Mom went to be with the Lord.
Life is short and we must live it without regret.

The word of God says I have come to give you life. So let's live life Large.

To my friend... Your Mom is with Jesus. Well done Godd and faithful daughter
is the words she is hearing.
And as your friend I say, well done, you have been such a blessing to
Your Mom.

All my dear friends out there, tell your Mons how much you love them.

Our God is LOVE.

Till next timne. Love you all Rose.

It is time for A new Day, new Door and a new Demonstration.

Our God is never static. He is unrolling His eternal plan for our lives and the Kingdom of God in the earth right now.

The New Day.
God lives outside of time but harnesses time and season for our benefit.

This is the day of His favour and the day of His visitation. The word of God says do not say it is still 4months to the harvest, lift up your eyes and see the fields are ripe unto harvest.

In this new day, God has released a company of harvesting angels on the earth to help us bring in a great harvest.
We must work while it is yet day.
Its a day of excelleration and shortening of the days of expectation. As we think a thing so the Father will release His answers.

Its a new day of prophetic people. Those who will declare the culture of the Kingdom.

The New Door.
The new door is a large and effectual door for the church to come into at this time.

Rev 4 says come up here and I will show you things still to come and immediately I was in the Spirit.

The doors of God give us access into the exploits of God.

Doors give entry just as gates represent authority.

As we step into the doors of God in this time frame it will fast track us into His purposes.
The doors that God opens no man can shut and the doors that God has shut no man can open.

Ask for effectual doors.
New Demonstration.
The church of the Lord Jesus Christ will move by the Spirit of God and so we are moving from being a people with a message  to being a people who demonstrate the supernatural.

Signs and wonders will follow those who believe.

Not by might, nor by power but by my Spirit says the Lord.
The book of Joel reminds us that He will pour out His Spirit on All flesh...

Let us surrender to the plans and purpose of God in this opportune time.

Let our hearts beat within us for the times and seasons of God.

Until next time. Be strengthened in the Power of His Might.

Blessings Rose.
