kindness of God.

Hi all you fabulous people out there. Welcome to my blogspot.
Sorry I have been so quiet.

I'm writting from Dublin. As you can see the title of this piece is the kindness of God.
Yes God is super kind.

I was the shy girl at school and never in my wildest dreams ever thought
I would do half the things I do in life. So what changed it? God of course.
He came as a breath if fresh air into my life, turned me right side up and set
me on a roadway of His grace and mercy.

Did I ever ask to be a pastors wife? No.
I wanted to get married have children, a little garden and then knit booties whule
Waiting for grandchildren. Hee hee... That's a good plan isnt it. Well of course it
is, But God!,.. His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are higher than
our ways. So after God turned my life the right way up He did bless me with a husband
and 3 wonderful children and a church full of fabulous people and sent us on cvarious
adventures into Africa and other lovely nations.

Oh how I love His stylem

I'm living my best life ever and praising Him daily for His Kindness.

Be good, be kind and live your life to full potential.

So cheers from beautiful Dublin. Will be back in Cape Town really soon now.
Rose.

Blogging.

I wonder where the term Blogging came from. Maybe its related to doodling. Remember how when we speak on our landline and there is a note pad by the phone and as the person is talking we start to doodle on the page and by the time the conversation is finished you have a whole interesting and involved picture in front of you.
Of course if we took it to some deep thinking analysis they would begin to tell us we have supressed dreams and frustrations etc..... Hee hee and all of that out of trying to be creative.

I'm so glad I'm born again and live by the Grace of God. I can remember paging through magazines and reading about writting analysis and how if you have small writting you are a certain kind of person and large writting means you are a generous person etc and I would stress because somewhow I start out writting large and end up small... Oh my Gosh the things that try and shape and dictate to our lives are just pathetic .... So glad I've been rescued from all of this stuff.

So its Tuesday and another oppertunity to bless God and those around us.

So get out there.

Remember you are a child of the King and attitude will determine your altitude. Be like that eagle and soar on the thermals of God. Faith is the substance of rhings hoped for the evidence of things unseen.

Oops I started out saying I wonder why its called a blog or blogging. Let me know what you think.

Love Rose.

Day off.

Hello out there. Sorry to be writing so late on this Monday night.
It was just one of those days that flew by.
As the saying goes, Time fly s when you are having fun.

Mondays are always good for me as its our day off and Lionel and I spend the day together. We take a drive, find a nice place out for coffee or lunch.
Sometimes it will be local, like Simonstown, Constantia, Camps Bay, the Waterfront or Canal Walk.
If we are really worn out we will drive further afield to Stellenbosch and just drive away from the hustle and bustle of life for a bit of space and fresh air.

Today we went to Camps Bay for brunch and it was great. I'm glad we sat indoors and admired the view from the window as the wind was really cold in spite of the sunshine.

What kind of Monday did you have, probably busy busy being the first day of the working week.

Whatever your day was like, I trust you found a space to just appreciate life and your family, friend and God.

You only live life once and this is not the dress rehearsal this is the real deal.

Love life. Let people know how much you appreciate them. Hug your friends and family. Contemplate, ponder, pray.
Life is so instant and moves so fast...Stop and just be.

God who has started a good work in you will complete it.
He loves you the way He created you so stop being so hard on yourself.
Worry will never change a situation, so see to it that you don't worry.
Cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.

So here's to the end of a great Monday.
Rest well.

Jesus today, tomorrow and forever.

Hi everyone. My word am I glad that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Even when we change He consistently loves us.
How comforting is that. The grace of God just blows me way.

God doesn't have mood swings. He isn't dependant on our opinions to keep Him positive. He Is God. Awesome. Comforting. True.

Thank you God for loving us so faithfully and consistently.

Good News.

Acts 4v12+13 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realised that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

The message of salvation is good news to all.
If we call upon the name of Jesus we will be saved.

Saved from our wicked ways
Saved from our self will
Saved from destruction
Saved from the works of the enemy
Saved from Hell itself.
Saved from religion

Our God is more than able to deliver us and fill us with such a hope for our future that the cares of the world become dim.

He fills us with love and grace to reach the lost, lay hands on the sick and see lives transformed.

It wasn't the disciples education that made the difference, it was the power of the Spirit of God that enabled them.

Let's walk in boldness the road set before us, lay hands on the sick, reach out to the lost with the good news of salvation.

Our Jesus came to this world to save us from sin, celebrate Him with rejoicing this Sunday, known as the Lords day.

Till next time,
Rose.

.

Revive us oh Lord.

There is such a cry in the heart of Gods people to be revived at this time.

Revival is an act of God in response to a people who have made themselves ready.

2 Chron 16v9 says, the eyes of the Lord go to and fro on the face of the earth to prove Himself strong on behalf of the faithful.

God will renew the faithful
Revive the church
Awaken a nation
Redeem the world

Let the meditation of our hearts and the words of our mouths be acceptable unto you Oh Lord.

Let us with whole hearts prepare for Him to come and make His habitation among us rather than a visitation.

In the book of Joel it says I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh....

Come Lord Jesus come.

Have a great day today as your heart calls out for more of Him and may you celebrate Jesus with fullness of Life.

Love
Rose.

TGIF

I'm sure you all know what TGIF stands for... Yes of course its Thank goodness its Friday.

Friday is always great for me and signals the start of weekend. I love the weekend as we get to see all of our family and drink coffee and tea and chat.
Saturday mornings we often go to the Organic Foodmarket and just browse and buy organic fruit and vegetables.

I trust you too find time to rest and breath and count to 10.
Contemplation is so of God.
The word of God says, Come unto Me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest, take my yoke upon you, for My yoke is easy and my burden is light.

I'm so grateful that the Father sent Jesus to deliver us from sin and the very nature of sin.
He has given us the mind of Christ, how awesome is that.
The plan of God is to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us a hope and a future and an expected end.
All our days are written in His books.
Shew! Nothing escapes Him.
We are so safe in the shadow of the Almighty.

Let the grace of our Loving heavenly Father wash over you this night. He is for you and not against you. This is not about mastering life but rather about surrendering to God and knowing that He loves you, He will never leave you nor forsake you and having begun a good work in you will complete it.

Father, thank you for sending Jesus,
Jesus, thank you for dying for our sin,
Holy Spirit thank you for being our comforter and guide.

Rest well this weekend. Be encouraged and strengthened. Your Father has called and gifted you with every good gift for the life you live.

Blessings
Rose.

All in a day.

The day is done and its nearly sleep time.

Do you have some of those days when you wake up and you just seem to run from one thing to another
and when you look again its the end of the day.

To stay focused and healthy we sometimes have to just stop and smell the roses, spot the seagulls or whatever they say.

The best of course is to be able to just do as little as possible and give God chance to speak to us so that we have dialogue and not monologue.

The word says in Jer 33v3 Call unto me and I will answer you and show you great things.
That's awesome.
So next time you are running furiously...STOP
Call unto God and then let Him show you the way forward.

In closing don't fret and be anxious, our God knows all about your concerns and He will look after those anxious thoughts if you ask Him for His peace.

Rest well.
Rose.

The end of Womens month and the arrival of Spring.

Wow, where does time go... Into the distant past I suppose.

Well last month was marked at the month of the woman.

I'm not sure if that's good or bad... For me that is. It was a odd month, I can only laugh and say goodbye August and hello September.

In case you didn't hear me speak in one of your groups in August I will fill you in on all the antics.

Lionel and I were invited to speak at a meeting in Table View one evening in the celebrated month of. "The Woman" so off we went in my BMW ( which some people say stands for Bring my Wallet) as we arrive at the address my car, which I call my baby, suddenly started to revolt and sputter and comes to a standstill. I just manage to get it onto the grass verge outside the venue as the man who invited us comes toward my door. I am trying to be "a lady" and look cool, calm and collected... My husband looking straight ahead of him says with a smile, that's a petrol issue.. You don't have petrol. I smile at the windscreen and between my teeth say, don't be ridiculous, I know my car, I have a quarter tank. Just then the kind gentleman gets to my door and says, shame you having some car trouble. Because I'm trying to look cool I brush the comment aside and we head off behind him to do the meeting.

At the end of the evening we of course have to go back to the car and yes, you guessed it, it wouldn't start.
We then arranged a lift home after securely locking the prized baby and my insistence that its and electronic fault.... Oh boy talk about being gracious... Not!

The next morning I'm on the phone to the well advertised Outsurance to arrange for my car to be towed. They were so willing to help but were insistent that we only had 45mins to get to the car or the tow truck driver would have got to the car and moved onto his next call if we were not at the car. My word, how do you explain to a lady at a call centre in Johannesburg that it will take awhile to dress, put on make up, GHD my hair grab my bag and get my patient husband to drive me from Fish Hoek to Table View all in 45mins.... Oh so much for dignity and womens month.... I did it, all dressed and polished and speeding along to the car now peacefully parked in the driveway of the venue where we were the night before.
So all said and done we get to the car, No tow truck. Oh heck maybe they came and went.. Quickly getting my BB out of my bag I phone the said towing company and no sweat, the towing guy is just around the corner and will be there in a second and he was. This is no small tow truck where they hook up the car, this is a huge flatbed.. Seriously!
With the paperwork completed and keys handed over we drive off in my husband car and he drops me at another appointment.
A couple of hours later he fetches me, what a patient man.
We are now heading home when my BB rings and it is my son who works at the mechanical workshop where my car has been delivered by the flat bed driver for the fitting of a 'new electronic part' and my sons opening words are, Mom you must put petrol in your car.... Oh boy.... Wrong words. I respond, don't be ridiculous, I know my car, don't joke with me I have a quarter tank of petrol. He takes his time to explain to me that the needle on my petrol gauge got stuck and I had actually done over 800km on that tank of petrol.

Man oh man. Or maybe woman oh woman... Can you believe it. Dignity flew out the window and I realise once again that I'm sot so smart and need to slow down and listen to people around me.

My husband and family had a good laugh and I thought, typical all this in honour of Womens Month.

So thank goodness August is gone and. September is here. Can anyone tell me why it rains every year in Cape Town on the 1st of September. Crazy.

Love you all. God is not finished with us yet and He makes all things beautiful in His time.
