Oh He loves us.

Its Friday and the start of the weekend. I love the weekend. It just feels so right to put my feet up on the couch, flip through the tv channels and with the tv chattering in the background I can flip through a magazine with a huge pot of tea on a tray and a bar of chocolate lazily been eaten as I while away the time. Saturdays are also great as there is no morning rush, no time limits just time to slowly get going and often we pop in at tje organic market to drink coffee and walk around all the stalls buying bread and cheese, olives and dips and spreads. Our three married children with their spouses and our little grand daughters also do Saturday shopping at the market so we find space at one of the bigger tables to eat sliced biltong together, chat, catch up with each other and buy the little princesses a date slice or some other treat before heading home at about 2pm. Then Sunday arrives and we go to church. Now I'm excited. I like to be early and pray at the prayer meeting asking Father to come and bless us and everyone who comes through the door and invite Holy Spirit to surprise us with the gifts and that people will be healed and changed.
As the church family arrive I get more and more chatty and I can't great people quick enough to beable to hear all the news and what God is doing in all of our lives.
A community of church families is always so interesting as we have grown together over so many years and seen little babies become teenagers and newly weds become mature parents and singles find life partners. So beautiful.
Its thrilling when new people join and become friends and always sad when others move on but in it all there is a tapestry of colour of lives being knitted together that excites me and has added to who I am in and through God and my heart responds with "Oh He loves us, Oh He loves us so"
Where would we be without the love of God.
Lionel and I will be celebrating 25yrs of ministry in May 2011 and our hearts response to God is "Oh how you have Loved us"
The way ahead is filled with great expectation. God has brought us this far and we have laughed and cried, grown and matured through trials and victories and we are the wiser and happier for all of it. So let us continue to celebrate the goodness of the love of God and our love for one another in the great family of God.

Oh how He loves us.

Till next time.
Love Rose.
