Visit to Christchurch New Zealand.

Hello everyone.

I do apologize for not writting as often as I should and hope to get better at it.

Once again I cant believe how fast this year is passing us. it was January 2012 just the other day and now we are about to celebrate Easter/Passover.

I thought you would like to hear some feedback from my trip to Christchurch New Zealalnd.

What a blessing to get on that airoplane and head off on a 31hr flight to the otherside of the world. I settled down into my seat with a comfy pillow and my book for the long haul to Dubai and had a 3 hr wait before boarding again which allowed me to walk through the glitzy Dubai airport duty free and test the perfumes.

Smelling like a perfumery I then settled down for the next leg of the journey to Bangkok and then onto Sydney before the last leg to Christchurch.

My hosts were graciously waiting for me as I headed through the double glass doors with my trolley, and as we drove from the airport to their home they began to show me where there were once buildings, shops and schools that were destroyed by the earthquakes.  I didnt really have any frame of reference as I had not been to Christchurch before.

As the days unfolded I began to see the bigger picture and could appreciate the trauma and devestation of the lives lost and the people injured as whole office blocks in the city had come down and shopping centres and cathedrals and homes were destroyed. Family businesses were gone and the centre of the city was fenced off as a red zone, no go area.

Then the story started to unfold.... the September 2010 eathquake caused huge damage and the February 2011 earthquake followed and as Japan had their huge earthquake and tsunami the focus obviously moved to Japan and the tv coverage was centred on the nuclear reactors and Christchurch went off the map.

My invitation to Christchurch was through Every Nation Church which is pastored by Ps Bernhard + Colleen Wewege. I loved every minute that I was with this church. Such stunning people who love God and are building authentic church community.

Everyone of the people I met added such value to my visit and after 12 days in Christchurch my heart was won over. The sound of various birds, walks on the beach, eating meals and sharing stories, the beautiful green  countryside and the hope of people rebuilding their lives engraved such a message of love and life in my heart. I will be drawn back time and again to beautiful Christchurch with a mixture of people from different backgrounds woven together through trauma and celebration into a tapestry under the hand of God.

Thank you to everyone of you who prayed for me and those who provided financially and a friend who paid for my airticket and  of course my darling husband Lionel who without hesitation released me to go and met me on return at Cape Town International with a arm full of roses and gifts. I am always welcomed home by my husband like a celebrity.

Do remember to pray for Christchurch on the beautiful south island of New Zealand.
May this Easter be a time of encountering Jesus in a new and fresh way as we celebrate His sacrificial gift of eternal life.

Blessings

Rose.

The Good days of God.

Hello everyone,. How are you in this day and time? Are you waiting or are you moving forward into the new season of our God.

These are the good days of our God. These days are the perfect days for revival. When al lgoes well beware that we dont become lax and fall asleep in our false comfortable chair.

God wants us to fulfill His purposes and not our small plan of existence. God has never called us to a self help programme. He has called us to manage His call and kingdom. You will accomplish much as you manage what God has given you rather than try and own what you hoard up for yourself. Hoarding up for  yourself is when we are saying, we can manage on our own. God wants to bless and prosper us for the purpose of His kingdom and his good days in our life.

God will not be mocked and He will not let His children stand naked or ashamed. Do not measure your exploits for God by the earthly measurement of recession.
Turn your ear to Heaven, listen to the dirrective of God and walk in obedience. Money and possesions are not the object... seeking Gods kingdom and His rightiousness is the focus and then all these things shall be added unto you.

So this is the good day of the Lord. God is good and His ways are good ways.

So make sure your heart tank is filled with hope and expectation that you will walk in the ways of God and see the Lord move mightly in the day of his power.

When darkness is on the earth and deep darkness on the people God will arise.  Come into our lives in Power Lord....... we declare this is a good day and we work while it is yet day.
We celebrate You Lord. we want clean hands and pure hearts and trust you all the days of our lives.

Be strong and courageous, stand firm in God and walk in the Good days of your God. dont let fear or failure consume you. Place your full trust in God. He holds you safely in His hand and youre in His good day.. Praise God.

till next time

love and care as we journey with God together

I am back.

Hello everyone out there. I am back. Maybe you asking, so where were you any way?

Its along story .... but I had tickbite fever and im so glad to say, today I feel abit more human again.
If youve had tick bite fever you will understand that I am talking about.
Shew! between headaches, hot and cold fevers and stabbing pains that feel like jaggered glass leaving your muscles its plain horrible and did I mention that your brain feels swollen.

How on earth can one little tick bite cause such havoc on ones body just boggles the mind. You just sleep and sleep like there is no tomorrow and when you look again its another day gone. I have a dear friend who everyday sent me a message saying I pray tomorrow you will feel 100% better than you did today.
Such a beautiful statement of encouragement.

Just wanted you all to know I am out the otherside of this horrible time and grateful.

Remember you are blessed and therefore able to be a blessing to others.

Our bodies are well put together by the Father and fights off all the nasties that come against us.
Thank you Lord for your healing.

Go on now and do a great job of loving God and loving others. Your life counts and makes a difference.

till next time. Rose :)
